The one who can break through barriers will lead them out they will break out, pass through the gate, and leave. Their king will advance before them; the LORD himself will lead them. Mic.2:13
The dominion mandate bestowed on man right after creation has been subject to continuous attack and challenge by the devil who desires that the mandate should belong to him. After successfully deceiving man in the garden, to give up the mandate, Satan has tried all he can to make sure that man stays limited in his capacity to fulfil the dominion mandate.
The good news is that Jesus came to pay the price for our freedom, so that we can be reconciled back to God and possess what it takes to fulfill the dominion mandate.
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. Gal.4:4-7
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. Gal.3:13-14
Jesus not only paid the price for our freedom but also ensured we are freed from the dominion of the kingdom of darkness and its associated consequences, to be free to serve God in fullness of joy.
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Col.1:13-14
However, for us to enjoy this freedom, we need to enforce it by living daily in the consciousness of the freedom purchased for us by Christ. We can only do this by always using His words as a basis for our actions, decisions, and reactions. When we engage His words to any limiting situation, He shows up to defend the integrity of His words. Josh. 1:8; Psa. 1:1-3
Once we establish a relationship with Jesus and accept the sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, we now have a basis to engage His words with authority as sons of the kingdom of light. We must always remember that God’s word is backed up by His person and as such cannot fail.
God’s Law is more real and lasting than the stars in the sky and the ground at your feet. Long after stars burn out and earth wears out, God’s Law will be alive and working. Matt.5:18 (MSG)
Always remember, as a child of God, you are no longer a slave, no more in bondage, you have been redeemed. Don’t let anyone belittle these graces in your life, fight it, resist it and keep standing on the truth of His words.
God instructed us to speak to mountains and they are bound to obey us. Next time you see a limitation, speak His words and enforce your freedom.
You are blessed.
