Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thess.3:16
One of the many instances of the definition of peace is a state or a period in which there is no war or fighting. History shows us that peace is often obtained by overcoming whatever or whoever was programmed to upset your peace. In other words, peace is always the reward of winning in the battlefield of life.
Life as we all know is filled with so many battles, troubles, challenges, opposition and obstacles; all programmed to make your peace almost impossible. The good news is that the Prince of Peace – Jesus Christ, has promised all those who will put their trust in Him, an unending peace transcending the issues of life.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John16:33
I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
These words carry the comfort that we need to go through these troubling times – the end times. And they are backed by the almighty God who has never lost any battle. Therefore, if God is bestowing His peace on us, it means He will fight our battles, empower us to overcome and subdue our enemies.
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies. Psa.108:12-13
Praise the Lord, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer. He is my shield, and I take refuge in him. He makes the nations submit to me. Psa.144:1-2
God is committed to ensuring our peace and has assured us of overcoming in every battle of life, if we will hold on to His words.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Rom.8:37
We have sure words that we need to hold unto to confront any aspects of our lives where our Peace is disturbed. The battle lines have been drawn, the enemy is not giving up but for as many that will engage His words and live their life by the principle of the scriptures, your victory and hence Peace is inevitable.
Therefore, the challenge to us is simple, if your peace matters to you, then stand upon His words to contend for it. Remember the enemies will only submit to a superior power, and you have the Prince of Peace on your side.
Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. Psa.66:3
God speaking by the greatness of His power has assured us Peace always and by all means (2Thess.3:16). All we need to do is to submit to Him, accept His Lordship over our lives, take all our burdens to Him, take up His words to stand as an overcomer and take back our Peace.
Your Peace is guaranteed by His blood because it’s part of the redemption package.
You are blessed.
