Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God – KJV
Happy are those who strive for peace—they shall be called the sons of God – TLB

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God – NLT.
The world today is overwhelmed by the continuous streams of violence in every part and every aspect. Kingdom rising against kingdoms, nations against nations, religions against each other, tribe against tribe and the family unit is also not spared as well. Indeed the end time is upon us and the devil knows that he has a very short time (Rev.12:12)
Amid this, God expects those who have a covenant relationship with Him to make a difference within their sphere of influence at every point in time. Indeed, God challenges us to follow peace with everyone at all time.
Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Heb.12:14
How do I follow peace with all men, given the wickedness in the hearts of men increasing by the day and at every opportunity?
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Rom.12:18
The key here is if the peace at that moment, circumstance or situation is dependent on your action, God is counting on you to decide a step, action or path that leads to peace.
So let’s agree to use all our energy in getting along with each other. Help others with encouraging words; don’t drag them down by finding fault. Rom.14:19
Turn from all known sin and spend your time in doing good. Try to live in peace with everyone; work hard at it. Psa.34:14
A lot of issues today linger, because most people driven by selfishness, ego, pride and complexities, would rather not take the path of peace. However Jesus gave us the example we should follow as His disciples as reflected in the verses below:
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Matt.26:63
He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. 1Pet.2:23
If we will allow God to justify us, revenge on our behalf and fight our battles, only then are we set to become Peace Makers. Today, every violence is traceable to an individual wanting to have his way at all cost and to insist on his position, views and perception.
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord. Rom.15:2
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us. Rom.12:3
If we all take the focus from ourselves and think more about others and their wellbeing, most of the violence, wickedness, hatred and heartbreaks in the land will cease.
Are you a peacemaker?
Maybe you have tried but found it so difficult. You are not alone for you cannot become a peace maker by your will alone. The Holy Spirit is always available to help you. If you will allow the Holy Spirit, you can become a peace maker all the time!
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Gal.5:22-23
Every spirit-filled believer has been empowered by God to be an agent of Peace.
You are blessed.
